About the Author James Fenimore Cooper was a nineteenth-century American author and political critic. Esteemed by many for his Romantic style, Cooper became popular for his depiction of Native Americans in fiction. Before Cooper considered himself a writer, he was expelled from Yale University, served as a midshipman for the United States Navy, and became a gentleman farmer. Cooper wrote many notable works including The Pioneers, The Last of the Mohicans, and The Red Rover, which was adapted and performed on stage in 1828. Cooper passed away in 1851 at the age of 61.

I think every woman will LOVE this book. If a man keeps an open mind, he will will also enjoy this fabulous novel written from the odd perspective of a woman's pocket handkerchief. Guys use the text to speech in the female voice, it will really enhance your enjoyment. Ladies do the same or just read, you will find the elegance of his story either way.

How can you not be when you are presented with so many elements in this that keep us continually guessing even when we know the answers, and further sends chills down our spine in fear and then accelerates the heartbeat in expectation? If this all sounds like a contradiction then in a way it is and this very contradiction is the charm that holds the reader spellbound in the novel.Amnesia, vampires, an alpha male and malevolent beings are all there and no this is not by any means a spoiler. This is a paranormal romance so we expect certain things. I am merely pointing out that we get them. We get them and then we are taken on this complex, confusing ride of emotions and events interwoven with an attraction so tangible that it jumps off the page and suddenly, we have to keep reading until we can't turn another page. In this world of less than originality simply because so much has been already done and technology gets it out there so immediately it is refreshing and incredibly satisfying to have a book include elements we like and want and twist them into an addiction. We get to the end knowing full well we now have to wait to know more and we hate the author for it. We need our fix and soon. Of course we do, she knows it and so do we. She has us at her mercy.I love it but I have long been a fan of this author from the first book she wrote and I will continue to be.

The chemistry between Rebecca and Leander is palpable even before you really find out their connection to each other. They rival my favorite couple Lucas and Valerie! I'm eagerly awaiting the next book!!!

2 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Nearly Worthless and Grossly Overpriced By frogman It's so lacking in detail, it's practically worthless. This "massive" 26 page guide book has little information and no details. He lets you know how to get a cab from the Cebu airport (Mactan), and lets you know a couple of areas where bars and girls may be found. Mostly, he only mentions things that fit what he likes to do. He does not do any research into anything that might interest a reader, but not him personally. He asked a price of $4.99. He has other 26 page books about other cities at the same $4.99 each, and if you combined 5 of them together, they would not be worth $4.99 combined. One of the laziest writers I've encountered on Amazon. When discussing the personality and culture of the filipino, he seems to do a cut and paste with other of his 26 page books. I guess with a full 26 pages to fill, he has to take some shortcuts. If your planning your first trip to Cebu, this isn't the guide book for you. You need more details, about how everything works. His advise is not good either. He advises not groping the girls in the bars. He prefers just a friendly stroke on the arm or leg, and give her high-fives. What's the fixation with high-fives? He sure mentions them a lot. I found the girls encourage groping, hoping for a nice tip. Go and have fun, but you don't need anything this basic to guide you. He lives there. You would think he would do a little more research when writing a book.

By aa I think some of the people commenting on this book and rating it low are forgetting that this is advice for noobs. It is there to help people who have never been before, not to take some experienced vet and teach them tricks for finding the Playboy Mansion in Cebu that they don't know about.Guess what, noobs need that advice about how to get a taxi from the airport or else they walk into scammers they aren't ready for.

I am sure this book is perfect for someone on the beginning of their awakening. That is why I bought the extra one. I thought I could give it as a gift.I was disappointed. I'm sorry. I am in the retired demographic and have read so much non-fiction on these subjects. This might attract the older Harry Potter follower. I wish you the best and hope you have a great writing career.

I love how this is a story of fantasy, and yet, there is such real life relatability and self reflection available to the reader. Samantha's journey to her 7 spiritual power spots and her steps to soul awakening kept me glued to the book. I never wanted to put it down! To the author Suzanne Adams... Thank you for this story. 8 of 8 people found the following review helpful. An Interesting Area Study By Tenchi in DC This book details a trip from Tbisili to British India across Persia (now Iran) in the late 19th century. The choosen route is somewhat mysterious. I was disappointed that the author didn't go the entire length of Persia. He instead makes a beeline for Bushehr and takes a steamer to Gwadar. From there he goes inland to Quetta. Along the way you get the reflections of a 19th century British citizen. I found the entire story an interesting look at southwest asia 120 years ago.

Engrossing By Ann Haefele You can enjoy this journey without understanding the area's geography, but each bit of the map you can imagine makes the story more detailed. Good descriptions of the physical and cultural life of the inhabitants, make the story of this adventurous journey just zoom by.

By Kindle Customer A nurse heads to Alaska for a much needed vacation for 2 weeks.Unknown to her her life is about to change in a way she could never imagine.Hears rumors of polar bears in the area near where she rented a cabin for 2 weeks.The very dad her vacation started she hears gunshots later that evening during a snow storm a finds a man shot in the shoulder she rescues him fixes him up an their's an instant connection between them.They end up in each other's arms all night long.He leaves her to finish healing himself an to tell his grandfather about her later that morning she realised he left an didn't say goodbye or leave her a note. The very man that shot him shows up at her cabin tracking him there to that cabin he tries to push his way in but she stops him.If you want to find out how it ends you have to buy the book. A lot of action,drama,intense romance following you thru till the end.18+

Delightfully illustrated it shows a classic 19th century American family at Thanksgiving. Everyone in the family participates in preparing for the big event. The children make festive placemats and grandma bakes the pies. The text is simple and geared for those four to eight years of age. The colorful illustrations combined with catchy sentences make it easy to read to children of all ages. It’s the perfect book to bring to your next Thanksgiving celebration. McElmurry and Miller take us back to a simpler time to a simple story of a family coming together to prepare a special dinner.Each page of the book details a family member’s special contribution to the meal. Mama gets the cooking pot, Daddy makes the fire hot, Sister kneads the dough, Brother bastes the turkey…you get the idea. Though it’s never explicit, the central theme of the story is the idea of family and community. Each family member works together and therein lies the success of the meal.
