I initially bought France book for our trip to France beginning of this month and then Paris one and this one for more specific details. Unfortunately, this book is okay but not as good or thorough as some of his other guide books. Honestly, I'd give this book 2.5 stars and would not have purchased it had I known the content.

However, he missed So Many small villages that have so much to offer. Even if he did not have the space to describe these places, he could have had a chapter of "off the beaten path" or "hidden gems". We have a house in Lorgues and just within a 50 mile radius are such interesting villages as: Tourtour, Ampus, Les Arc, EntreCasteaux, Fayence, Villecroix, Carces and Aups(with it's truffle festival in the winter).I am sure one could pick another village and find similar sights worth seeing.
