Review Good Read which I enjoyed. I love the fact the main character is more focused on this book. He is awesome as a character and I am amazed the direction of the series. I just wish he can work thru his problems. I wish to know about the loose ends of his former Navy Life and the officers he helped. I can not wait to rest of this series comes out!5.0 out of 5 stars -- Good Read which I enjoyed -- Frederick Lopez

By Joan This book and the preceding three in the Rim Confederacy fulfill every expectation of mine for an interesting, fast moving, pure science fiction story. Plus, they are all well written and edited nicely, with very, very few and far between glitches. The characters are well developed and likable or not likable as needed. The plot starts out interesting and just keeps getting better. Each book in the series is a 5-star for me. Whole worlds and new aliens are constantly being introduced and brought into the stories and nothing gets tiresome.I very much hope you read this author's books. Do start with the first book, Pirates, because it is the first introduction to the characters, especially the main one and you will need that to begin to understand him. Personally, I am just finishing this 4th book, and already impatient to see the next one in the series which is not out yet.

First I have to say I read all 4 books within 4 days. No I did not get anything else done in those four days but, oh well. I personally have known guys from the Nam days up to Afghanistan many of them have ptsd. None of them, however, were in a position of authority after coming home from the offending tour of duty. That said, having the knowledge I have about the issue spurred me on to see how you handled the captains issues. Alcohol is pretty standard for most, especially the ones that don't seek help. But then not everyone wants a lifetime script for klonopin. I hope you use this platform to encourage some real progress in truly helping out these men and women. Maybe you have a helpful storyline coming up? OK. You have hit a lot of points that I love to see in sci-fi books. Star travel, spacecraft (new & old) new tech, fresh discoveries, political intrigue, aliens, you stayed in the milky way but took it out to the rim with hints of "out there and beyond" stuff, oh yeah, the hussy and the step-daughter with some piracy thrown in.. Hmmmm, let me think, gardening and a penitentiary. Wow. Then there's the captain. As much as I want you to fix him, not sure you should .......yet. Definitely have to build on the anti grav thing, but don't let the baroness screw him over too badly. I guess he might not see it that way since he got the ship though. I'm guessing next your going to go all archeological dig on us, at least I hope you do. I bet those guys might be able to translate the message from the trees? Should the Ikarians be the translators? Do we know where they came from yet? I don't think so. So much suspense, so little time. Get on the stick! I need that next book!

The first one was this one was Hospital Ship and from then on, i was hooked. The author writes in a manner that's so engaging and the books are thrilling.From what i've experienced so far, it seems the writer is getting better at crafting a very engaging set of characters who have come alive in your mind! Strange new planets, abandoned alien technology...and a crew that has surprises but comes together to support their captain... This is Sci-fi action at it's best! Highly recommended!
