Just Okay By Tracy Arnett After reading Lost Vampire this book continues the story of Tay Maslov and her fight to become an Elder again and no longer be considered a Feral. In order to do this, she must work with Archon Bethania of Manhattan in secret. Unfortunately for Tay there is a war brewing between Elders and Shifters. Being just a pawn on a chess board being fought between Elders and Shifters who is really safe and who can Tay trust? Can she trust Kaiden?Unfortunately, this book followed the same path for me as the first one. I felt it was too slow paced and I didn't really feel a connection to the characters. I like to root for the underdog in the books I read and I felt as though that Tay and Kaiden were those people, unfortunately the story line didn't develop enough for me to get behind them. I wanted this book to be great but like Lost Vampire it missed the mark for me and I will not be reading any more of this series. Read for yourself and make up your own mind, but this is my opinion of this book.

This is turning out to be a great series By Mollien Osterman Alpha Book Club Heat Level: 1 flames out of 5Rating: 4 stars out of 5Another unique take on the Vampire story. This one is combined with shifters and is set in futuristic New York City. In this series Vampires pretty much rule the cities. People are kept around pretty much to supply the blood banks with blood.Plot - Tay Maslov continues to try to become a vampire in good standing off of the Feral list. With the aid of an old friend Tay tries to get help from the leader of the vampires in Manhattan. Tay finds out the hard way that everything has a price and she is sent into the underground tunnels of the old subway system to try to spy on the people living there. Archon Bethania has ulteria motives and Tay soon finds herself up against not only a Feral hideout, but the shifters that want to take down the rule of the vampire. Now that Tay and Kaiden are reunited their chemistry is taken up a notch as they join together to keep the destruction of New York City to a minimum with the power struggle going on between three different Archon leaders and leader of the wolf pack. This story is still moving rather quickly and Tay finds herself in an interesting position. Once again we are left with a cliffhanger. Can’t wait to see what happens. Once again though I was hoping for some more romance. The grammatical errors were few and the book kept me on my toes. I just wish Tay and Kaiden would kiss!!! I need just a little more romance. Now on to the 3rd book!
