By jane The beginning was somewhat engaging but soon bogged down in poor dialogue and a too predictable story line. One or two scenes of action but waaaay too much information instead of character development soon got old. The conclusion was the two steps into a great action scene then -- poof! End of book until the next one. Not worth it.

A situation like this may very well occur if a rogue nation or group obtains a nuclear weapon and launches it at the United States.The plot line that the author has developed is very realistic, as well as the character development. I was surprised when the story ended at such a dramatic point, so I am eagerly anticipating the thrilling conclusion.

By Jennifer Gunn This installment of Grid Down follows two sets of different groups who are dealing with an EMP strike that has taken down most of the nation’s power grid. One group of people settle in the mountains and continue to thrive working together until the power returns. The other group, mostly criminals, take over a town so one megalomaniac can call himself the Mayor. I like that this story is more character driven with tension mounting when the groups discover each other and with bits of action thrown in. It is nice that the individuals are not super human military types that can get through any situation, but real life people with flaws. I am excited for the next installment to see what happens next as this ends with a cliffhanger!Additional Note: I received this product for free or at a reduced price in exchange for my honest review.
