Ebook shares some "golden" book marketing tips from Glover's experience By Barbara Schiffman Book marketing is not a life or death experience -- unless you're a self-published author (or a traditionally published author whose publisher no longer provides marketing support!). Glover's experience has clearly been valuable as she shares some gold nuggets from it in this ebook. For me, most of the gold was in the second half, however. Her thoughts about identifying your readers are not new, but some of her Must Have Resources for an author's marketing kit include new approaches to using video book trailers, banners and headers, and even creating quotes from your own books as "visual memes." Her notes on why treating Amazon as a marketing "partner" and the value of letting Amazon readers "borrow" your book were encouraging to me and I'm now trying out her tips with my own books. For new self-promoting &/or self-publishing authors, Glover's experience can steer you in a good direction and is worth the ebook price. (I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book so I could give an honest review.)

As a business graduate majoring in e-commerce, I feel that I have a good grasp on how to approach readers from a marketing standpoint and feel that this book gives some wonderful advice. As a book promoter, I see way too many authors stuck in writer mode. While consistently publishing new books is key, authors need to be proactive in promoting their books as well.This book is filled with advice that will help a number of authors. From understanding your ideal reader (AKA target audience) to building social media accounts that will help you connect with more readers, there are tips that many authors are going to find useful.Is it a book that will turn you into an overnight success? No. And, personally, I'm skeptical of any book that makes such claims. This book makes it clear that becoming an overnight success is rare. Instead if gives concrete advice in helping your potential readers find your books.Reviewer was given a free book in exchange for an honest review.

Everyone's favorite jack o' lanterns are back By April McGowan With Halloween only a few weeks away I was looking for Halloweek stories for my kids to download to my kindle I just got a week ago. I then ran across Sugar & Spice : Halloween Dance Party: Everyone's favorite jack o' lanterns are back! The age level for this is 5-11 and grades 1-3. This is a fun book that tells about Albert not being able to find anyone to go to the Halloween party with him and how he ends up in the deep dark woods. My daughter really likes all the pictures in it too. If your looking for a cute Halloween story this is a good one.

The pictures are as bright and vibrant as the characters Little Corey and Cousin Nia, and take us through questions, discoveries and new understandings about caring for ourselves and loving the bodies, homes, and environment we're in, from a child's perspective. Any parent who loves the feeling of accomplishment they get when their child reflects something they've learned will identify with Corey's mother, and smile with her. I'm excited about all the little minds that are going to identify with Corey and Nia, and be healthier, more organized, and more curious because of it. The characters are also bilingual, so both parents and kids can expect to learn a little casual French as well.If you want the kids in your home or classroom to learn about ANY of those concepts, Little Corey & Cousin Nia stories will be a pretty awesome starting point. You also get to support an up and coming author with a really great mission. Like the book, share it, read it to your kids.Thank you, N'nako, I can't wait to see more.

The multicultural experience through "Little Corey and Cousin Nia's Fun Trip to the Farmers Market" is refreshing and the bright and colorful depictions make this book and easy read and a must have.I definitely recommend it.

By Kae McCatty Wonderful book, My daughters loved it and loved the fact that there was some French used in there. I also love the fact that it is teaching our children about health and how to make healthy recipes. Thank you N'nako for this book. Oh it is personal as the author uses her own personal photos to capture the moments and not just random pictures.

South Africa has achieved much to the great benefit of the broad population since 1994. However, since the start of the financial crisis, which also coincided with a change of leadership within the ANC, all is not well economically. Much can be blamed on specific factors such as weak international demand and the end of the super cycle in commodities but there is no doubt that domestic policy choices have played a significant role. This book, argues that we are currently endangering the very foundations of modern south Africa namely the supremacy of individual rights as enshrined in our constitution. Economic growth for sustainable transformation is urgently required. The unbridled free market or traditional laissez-faire economics will not provide this growth, but nor will state planning. The author argues that ONLY a system based on the absolute equality of individuals, governed by the independent rule of law and guided by market forces can achieve this. The current interventionist stance of government and the concept of the developmental state is not new in the world nor will it succeed. The state has a pivotal role to play in addressing the structural and historic inequality in the country, but must guard against unintended consequences flowing from actions that inhibit market mechanisms. If anything, the logic contained in the book shows how current state planning might inadvertently, but surely, lead to the very erosion of the freedom that so many people fought for without delivering the goods as promised. Our good intentions will grind us to a halt.

About the Author Cobus Venter is a senior consulting economist at the bureau for economic research at stellenbosch university where he heads up the macro services and ad hoc research division. Prior to working for the university he worked as an independent consulting economist and was also an executive director at the leading regulatory specialist consulting firm ECONEX. During his time as an economist he has consulted widely across just about all sectors of the South African economy. He has worked in various fields in the private sector, mostly as a self-employed entrepreneur, but spent more than a decade in the hotel and property trade. He is a director of Happimo.org which is described as a non-profit organisation dedicated to giving all south Africans, rich or poor, access to cutting-edge technology that can help them live safer, healthier and smarter lives. His favorite pastime is watching the growing success of Project Isizwe which delivers free WiFi to millions of South Africans so that they are better able to make informed decisions about their lives... and a bit of fishing. He re-joined the economics profession in 2008 just in time for the great financial crisis and has been trying to make sense of the world and the country ever since. He grew up in Johannesburg but now lives in Stellenbosch with his wife and three young sons.

A MUST read for South Africans and all interested in Economic realities of STATE PLANNING and outcomes By Pdv606 This book reads easily , is logical in approach and even a non Economist will follow easily.Economics 101 over 100 years congested successfully by the author. It is valid for most countries as it takes well known Theory and blends with motivation for STATE intervention vs State planning and the need for it at times and for various valid reasons.It is also very to the POINT ito South Africa and the dream vs reality vs success vs failure of the last 21 years.Absolutely worth a read - gives perspective in short pointed fashion. A year after, we still read this every night, not only because it eases the fear my kiddos feel when nighttime comes, but we also love the illustrations and crisp & smooth pages of the book. Though most of the images consist of black and pink and white, the whole book itself was colorful and very pleasing to the eyes.Daisy could teach my sons a thing or two about the dark. I thank her because she isn't afraid of Darkness. She even befriends him and shares a cup of lemonade and together they dance the Twist!This is a highly entertaining read and I recommend this to parents who have a hard time putting their kids to sleep :)

This book , by personifying night, has come up with a way to involve their imagination with darkness, turning it from a world of fear to a world of wonder.
