Honey is a sweet gift from nature ALL of nature, actually. Honey is linked in a very real way to dandelions, earthworms, mushrooms, the old oak tree and even the blue jays squawking in its branches. Take another look at honey. If you love nature's honey, you are sure to love nature too. How sweet it is! The author fell in love with bees as an amateur beekeeper, and then learned to appreciate flowering plants even ones she once considered weeds as an important nectar source. And then she realized how the plants were connected to insects and soil. A simple but accurate diagram in the back matter explains how bees make honey and also pollinate plants, as well as the role of beneficial insects and decomposers. Also presented are activities and a recipe for children.

If You Love Honey, by Martha Sullivan

Review "If You Love Honey is vibrant and engaging with warm, lifelike, and impressively accurate art that remembers the young audience the book is written for. Parallel sections of text throughout the book effectively lead the reader through the pages. The theme text is repetitive and playful, while the more instructional sections are informative but still easily accessible and interesting to a young audience" --Randy L. Seagraves, Curriculum Coordinator, International Junior Master Gardener Program"If You Love Honey takes its readers on a beautifully illustrated adventure through the intertwining natural world around us. It highlights the work of our bees, linking golden honey on bread to the earthworms crawling underground, and everything in-between. Children will be fascinated by this tale." --Sarah Red-Laird, Bee Girl, Executive Director, American Beekeeping Federation, Kids and Bees Program Director

Nature Connections Featuring Bees and Honey By Annette Lamb IF YOU LOVE HONEY by Martha Sullivan is an amazing informational science picture exploring connections in nature. Each page of the story begins with some variation of “if you love…, then you…”. Readers are taken through a series of connected flora and fauna starting with honey and ending with children at a picnic. Supplemental information on each page describes the importance of each aspect of nature including insects, birds, and soils. In addition to the narrative, readers will enjoy additional information and activities at the end of the book including an I-Spy game; information about pollination and honey; and bee activities. While many science books for children focus on a single topic or gloss over the big picture, this beautifully illustrated picture book manages to pack in dozens of essential science concepts into an engaging narrative.Librarians will find lots of connections to the science curriculum. Use this book to kick off an exploration for each of the creatures in the story. By Adele The Independent Guide to Walt Disney World 2016'The Independent Guide To Walt Disney World 2016' includes over 30 chapters, covering everything from scheduling your holiday, reviews of hotels/resorts and detailed breakdowns of the theme parks. Thankfully, the book is structured in a clear and practical manner, making it easy to navigate through any sections of interest and absorb all of the information without becoming too overwhelmed. Phew!I have referred to travel guides whilst in the ‘vacation planning’ stage in the past but one of the unique features of the 'Independent Guidebooks' series is that they are updated throughout the year and printed on demand, so when you purchase the book you will have the latest published version. For this reason alone, I would highly recommend the 'The Independent Guide To Walt Disney World 2016' because it contains all of the latest developments – and since Disney is expanding and evolving daily, this is truly impressive. I take my Mickey Mouse ears hat off to the researchers and writers!Being a Walt Disney World regular myself, I thought that I knew everything that I needed to know but a further advantage of this particular guidebook is that it’s written by ex-Disney Cast Members, who are equipped with exclusive ‘insider’ knowledge to help to save you time and $$$ (double win). 'The Independent Guide To Walt Disney World 2016' could easily become your one and only source when it comes to vacation planning for a Walt Disney World holiday because it contains everything that you could ever need - and more!

Sowell Planning a vacation to the most magical place on earth, Walt Disney World, look no further than The Independent Guide to Walt Disney World to both help plan and execute your trip. The author does a great job keeping it simple and on topic making it easy to flip to a section and get what you need quickly or follow along in the book from planning to a day at the parks. You will find detail on planning including how to get to the parks once you are in Orlando and where to stay while there. Each park section describes all of the attractions and even has loading time to help maximize your time in the parks. But the book doesn't stop with the parks, there is also information on the many attractions outside the parks including the water parks, Disney Springs, miniature golf, and much more. Overall every aspect of your Walt Disney World vacation is covered. If you are planning a trip I highly recommend picking up The Independent Guide to Walt Disney World to help with your plans and ensure you get the most out of your vacation.

By BritishDisneyDiva I really enjoyed reading this independent guide and would be more than happy for it to accompany me on my holidays to Walt Disney World Resort. The most impressive thing for this guide to pull off is how up to date it is - Walt Disney World Resort is ever evolving so to be bang up to speed is truly magical indeed!Although I did come across a few minor inaccuracies this does not in any way detract from the over all usefulness of this easily digestible guide to the most magical place on earth – Walt Disney World Resort, in addition the guide is cleverly written with both the individual needs of British and American visitors alike.

After making a diplomatic pact with humankind and the other leaders of the Elder Races, Pia Cuelebre, mate to Dragos Cuelebre, Lord of the Wyr, reluctantly heads to Hollywood to spend a week with the Light Fae Queen, Tatiana, before the busy Masque season hits New York in December. Dragos has never let the lack of an invitation stop him from doing anything he wanted. Unwilling to let his mate make the trip without him, he travels to southern California in secret to be with her. But when an ancient enemy launches a shattering assault against the Light Fae, Dragos and Pia must intercede. The destruction threatens to spread and strike a mortal blow against all of the magically gifted, both human and Elder Race alike. Working with the Light Fae to neutralize the danger, Dragos and Pia find their deepest vulnerabilities challenged and their most closely held secrets threatened with exposure. PIA DOES HOLLYWOOD is the second part of a three-story series about Pia, Dragos, and and their son, Liam. Fabulous addition By Marta Cox Sometimes you just have to put duty and the bigger picture before personal needs and that's just where this story begins. Pia is about to leave her home and family to spend a week in California with the Queen of the Light Fae. Now technically Dragos is not invited on this diplomatic visit but since when did he ever follow rules? Besides Pia has just discovered she is expecting their second child so no way does she go unprotected. What happens though when it's Dragos in trouble? Oh boy there's definitely something the Light Fae should have mentioned!I adore these snippets into the lives of the first family of the Wyr. Such a loving ,warm , close knit brood and it's only going to get even more wild with their expected addition. Yes this is short but it felt complete and well rounded. There's danger, surprises and of course passion. If you are already a fan you will have to read this and if new to this author then please I urge you to quickly get on board and enjoy this fabulous series.I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review

4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Political Pia and Dangerous Dragos (4.5 stars) By Book Gannet Ah, now this is more like it! Much as I enjoyed Dragos Goes to Washington, my enjoyment was more because of catching up with Dragos and Pia again than the plot. In fact the plot there was mostly Dragos and Pia have sex, while some other stuff happens. This time, however, there’s less sex but a whole lot more plot, and I enjoyed it even more. Thanks to recent political maneuvering, Pia has to go to LA to stay with the leader of the Light Fae, as a way of fostering good relations… or more likely seeding the right kind of threats to help maintain the uneasy peace that reigns between the various Elder Races. Pia doesn’t want to go, Dragos really doesn’t want Pia to go, and neither of them are happy about leaving Liam behind. So, really, it’s business as usual for the Cuelebres.Pia being Pia, she wants to keep the peace so is willing to go. Dragos being Dragos, he grumbles and growls and bows to Pia’s wishes, but also plans to go along too, while keeping hidden from the Light Fae. What could possibly go wrong?I won’t actually go into details, for spoiler reasons, but the troubles weren’t a complete surprise. It did make for an interesting tale, though, as Pia tries to work out if the Light Fae are always that shifty or something is up, while Dragos sniffs about and gets more than he bargained for. It was also great to see Eva again, not to mention Aryal and Quentin, who help provide humor and back up as all of Pia and Dragos’ deep secrets threaten to come out at once.Fans of the Elder Races will definitely want to read this one, especially if Dragos and Pia are your favorites. There’s some romance, some sparkly jewelery, a bit of a mystery, some life threatening danger, a few old friends, a really annoyed dragon, a cute baby spark and a race against time to solve the problem. Everything you’d expect from these two. I really enjoyed this novella and can’t wait to read Liam’s own tale next. I also hope this isn’t the last we’ve seen of Morgan, because I am very, very intrigued about who and what he might be.(I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.)

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. A Fun, Action-Packed Dragonlicious Paranormal Romance! By Linda Townsend "Dragos, I'm beginning to feel like we're travel cursed. Something always happens when we go away."PIA DOES HOLLYWOOD by Thea Harrison is the second novella in a three-story series. First of all, I confess to being a huge fan of the author's Elder Races and Dragos and Pia are my favorite couple in the series; I can't get enough of them. I love these short stories that give fans more insight into the characters and the goings-on within the Elder Races' incredible world.I'm going to disagree with the information within the blurb slightly. If you have not read any of the Elder Races books, I'd recommend that you at least read DRAGON BOUND before diving into these stories. You will enjoy these short tales much more if you have at least read the introduction to the series which featured Dragos and Pia. I can't imagine reading these short stories as standalones and fully enjoying them without some prior knowledge of the couple's history. I'm pretty sure that once you've read DRAGON BOUND, you will be hooked and want to read the entire series. I can attest that every story has been fabulous. I highly recommend that you sit back with The Elder Races series and thoroughly enjoy the author's imaginative, multi-faceted storytelling. As the story opens, Dragos, Pia and, their son, Liam, are enjoying some private Cuelebre family time as they prepare for Pia to be away for a week with Tatiana, the Light Fae Queen, in Los Angeles fulfilling a diplomatic mission. The diplomatic deal stated that each of the seven U.S. demesne leaders are to send a family member to another demesne to visit for a week to foster good will and peace among the desmesnes. The whole concept came from a Medieval practice of nobles sending their children to live in other nobles' households as hostages. While the terms of the deal state that the family member is required to make this trip solo, Dragos is not one to allow what is his far from his grasp, so he will also be in Los Angeles, but he plans to stay hidden. However, trouble is never far from this power couple and the best-laid plans often demand major tweaking. There were so many jaw-dropping twists to this story! Besides the rather epic problem that besets them, there's a plethora of romantic segments that will have the reader swooning. You've been warned: Have a fan and a cold drink nearby when reading this novella. This couple has set-your-sheets-on-fire chemistry galore. I loved the initial short scene with Liam; I wish it had been longer but I'm excited that he gets his own tale with the next book. This story may be short, but it's not undersized as regards its fast-paced action, nor its content as it includes plenty of both. All three parts of this trilogy of novellas should not be missed by the series' fandom as there's considerable information disclosed that will rock the Cuelebres and, indeed, the entire Elder Races world. Anyone who enjoys fun dragonlicious paranormal romance should check out this series! My full review is posted at Reading Between The Wines Book Club. Please check it out there!4 1/2 Wine Glasses!

Moulder I was annoyed through most of the book because of the unecessary money they spent on a trip to the Bahamas. I can't imagine going to the Bahamas, always trying to get a slip, not snorkeling, and worrying about sand on your feet and in your boat. However, it made me appreciate the knowledge I already have and what not to do on my trip to the Bahamas. It was fun, informative and a fairly reasonable source of info for a cruise to the Bahamas. I would suggest he hire an English major at the college to proof read the book before publishing. There were way too many punctuation errors, mispelled words, run on sentences, and paragraphs that talked about more than one subject.

By Cecil Rogers I have had extensive experience in the Bahamas from Grand Cays to Grand Turk and in all that time, on a variety of sailboats ranging from 27 to 50 feet, I don't think I used as much fuel, water and laundry as Mr. Wilson's three months. I can't recall that he ever hoisted sail without at least two reefs. He mentions wanting to avoid a " two-foot chop" and of the wind "howling at 20 knots". An entire chapter was used to analyze the size, crew number and age, and distance from home ports in exhaustive and boring detail. For anyone contemplating a sail to the Bahamas, I would advise them to ignore everything in this book. In all the time he was away, he never learned the proper way to anchor, dock or undock.

All the foibles and nuances rolled into one tome make this a great first effort and we hope that there are more to come. A little slow in spots with sometimes what might sound like "high handed" opinions of other boaters and service personnel along the way; I hope not all the marinas and experiences boaters have in the Bahamas are as dissatisfying as some of this poor guys were/seemed to be! If we could all live this little slice of life he, his wife and darling daughter had, we would be all the better for it. Buy this book and enjoy it. Not only is it a good tale, but there is a ton of useful information in it too!

In the modern economy, businesses must have heart. The marketing industry is broken. Consumers are tired of interruption, push, mass media and the manipulation of marketing and advertising generally. They want to deal with honest, ethical companies that have heart and purpose and that care about serving all their stakeholders instead of their pockets.

Conscious Marketing proves that marketing can really work if the paradigm is shifted radically. In Conscious Marketing: How to Create an Awesome Business With a New Approach to Marketing, author Carolyn Tate demonstrates just how beneficial this shift can be. By practising the four tenets of conscious marketing, companies can raise their brand's profile and attract customers for life. The book shows how building a business with a higher purpose can lead to sustainability, profitability and industry leadership. Conscious marketing works for both multinational corporations and cash-strapped small business alike.

In the modern market, a business that does well and contributes to the elevation of humanity and the planet attracts the best customers, employees, suppliers and investors. These people evangelize, and the brand reach expands exponentially further and to a more loyal audience than traditional marketing will ever capture. The book includes a three-part guide to crafting an actionable plan, including where to find help.

Marketing doesn't have to be the budgetary dead weight it has become. It can be fun, human and inspiring for everyone involved, but change requires a deep shift in thinking and behaviour that goes way beyond the transaction or the sale.

By Cath C In this Human Economy, it's time to move into a more human, connected world by building businesses around Purpose, People and Planet first. Conscious Marketing gives us a framework of how to achieve this. As a professional "conscious" marketer, I was already using some of these ideas with my clients, but this book takes it to a whole other level - where any business, big or small, can change the way we approach creating products and services, and how we send them out into the world. Highly recommended.

Customers want to deal with honest, ethical companies that have heart and purpose and that care about serving all their stakeholders. Today, businesses must show what's at their core, why they do what they do and why it matters in this new world. A must read!

Elegantly written, current thinking, compelling message By ELLYN G MARTIN As easy and compelling to read as a well written novel, but truly packed with the most current thinking about why it's time for companies to change how they market. Carolyn Tate mounts the case that marketing is broken, introduces the concept of conscious marketing, and then shows you how to do it, something that most business books fail to do.
