The Officer Cadet: The Greatest Coming- of-Age Space Adventure Ever Told By DareAT After reading for just a few minutes, I had to get up and get a quilt. The description of Dess being cold was so authentic I was chilled. I enjoyed the ups and downs of the mental maturing of Dess. Really excellent battle scenes: fear, death, rebirth. Had to remind myself that this was a child fighting for her life! Did get lost sometimes due to this being a "new" universe and philosophy. Now I want a wristband!! The Epilogue: Wow...next book please.
2 of 3 people found the following review helpful. ignore the stupid tag line this is really a decent book By Sherry Casperson the story is told in first person which is not a fovorite: still its a fairly good story told in competent writing action could be tighter with a number of plot points wasted. although its not a bad book it could have been so much better

Female protagonists, space battles, coming of age By Claire P Strong young female protagonists involved in space battles, planetary adventures, first love... I'm no longer young but found myself swept up in the story. This is apparently a first novel. I will be watching for the next ones and seeing how the author matures in writing.
