By Seeker The author continues to kill of characters at an alarming rate and the character complexity is devolving instead of evolving. Over a third of the book is a blatant attempt to justify a personality change for the MC and is not even believable in how it happens. While the first two books were good reading even if characters died too frequently for my personal taste, the third book shows that the author is out of new ideas and goes to a tried and true story arc for two of the three plot elements in the novel. The third is the aforementioned travesty.

Im actually going through and re-reading the series now that i finished book 3. only thing is there seem to be some issues with editing as it feels that the names get mixed up on ocassion or small spelling errors or wrong words inserted. Dont let that stop you though still great book and a great series from a new author. In the end you'll get no rest cause you'll want to keep reading

I thoroughly enjoy science fiction that blends the combat and empire building aspects like this story has. At first it was hard for me to get past the grammatical errors and word syntax in some places, but it is an excellent story and I recommend that you give it a go.
